The Reverend Martin Peacock is vicar of ‘St Ignatius the Unflappable’ in the village of ‘Steeply Willows’ and the action takes place in the vicarage living room. As the play unfolds all manner of dark intentions, jealousies and subterfuge surface and result in the stabbing – but which of the suspects including the housekeeper, PCC Chairman, Scout Leader, Church organist, country rambler or even the eager for promotion curate is the murderer and who assisted him in this despicable crime?
