Problems Downloading PDF Documents

It has been noticed that when using the Chrome browser with Adobe 9 Acrobat Reader, for some users the web page 'hangs' when a hyperlink is clicked to a downloadable pdf file.

One thing worth trying if this happens is to unselect the option in Adobe Reader for opening the pdf file in the open web page - this forces the pdf to open then in the Acrobat Reader viewer.

To change the settings:

• open Acrobat Reader
• Click Edit/ Preferences
• Click Internet and uncheck the box 'Display PDF in browser
